What is EMSELLA®?
Bladder weakness and incontinence are medical problems that often correlate with weakness of the pelvic floor. In women in particular, various factors such as pregnancy, childbirth, ageing and muscle failure of the pelvic floor can cause urinary incontinence.
EMSELLA® is a non-invasive treatment to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. It is carried out using high-intensity focussed electromagnetic pulses (HIFEM), which cause thousands of supramaximal muscle contractions. These contractions are so intense that they cannot be achieved with conventional pelvic floor training.
This treatment is safe, painless, well tolerated and effective.

How does a treatment with EMSELLA® work?
During an EMSELLA® treatment, you sit fully clothed on a specially developed chair equipped with HIFEM modules. Electromagnetic impulses are targeted at the pelvic floor and stimulate the muscles to contract strongly in a very short time. The treatment is completely painless.
How long does a treatment with EMSELLA® last and how often does it have to be repeated?
A treatment with EMSELLA® takes 28 minutes. As a rule, 6 treatments are carried out at intervals of 2-3 days. After the treatment, the patient can immediately resume their normal daily routine.
