Procedure for autologous blood treatment
At the beginning of PRP therapy, a small amount of blood is taken from the patient. The blood is then processed in a centrifuge and the blood plasma is separated from the remaining components. We then inject the platelet-rich plasma obtained in this way into the skin using wafer-thin needles - this is usually almost completely painless. In order to achieve an even distribution, we inject the plasma into the skin through many very small injection points.
After the procedure, a cooling compress can soothe the skin. Thanks to the autologous blood treatment, a positive effect on wound healing and regeneration processes can be achieved. This procedure also has a rejuvenating effect on the appearance of the skin. The results of PRP treatment are visible shortly after application and continue to improve in the first few months after treatment.
When should a vampire lift not be used?
For safety reasons, PRP lifting cannot be performed on patients with blood-borne diseases. Treatment should also be avoided during pregnancy.
Skin diseases such as neurodermatitis or psoriasis are also contraindications. Medication that restricts blood clotting (e.g. aspirin, ibuprofen) must be discontinued at least one week before treatment.
